I found this case study on Coca Cola and think it is a really positive step forward they are making where packaging is concerned. If such a well known company is prepared to make a difference then hopefully more and more brands will be encouraged to do the same.
"At Coca‑Cola, we are always looking at ways to reduce the resources we use in our packaging. At the moment, the raw materials needed to make most plastics come from petroleum and other fossil fuels, and ‘regular’ plastic bottles are currently made from petroleum. Our new PlantBottle packaging will move us one step closer to our long-term goal of creating plastic bottles that are truly petroleum-free."
